The Charter Arms Bulldog XL is an Extra Large-frame carry revolver chambered in 45 Colt (Long Colt). The XL frame was developed to give shooters the heft and recoil management needed to comfortably handle full-house 45 LC loads in a compact, short-barreled package.

This Bulldog XL pairs a short 2.50″ barrel with a 5-shot cylinder, and the barrel, cylinder, and frame are all finished in matte stainless steel for corrosion resistance and snag-free everyday carry. The DA/SA action works with an exposed hammer for deliberate single-action fire, while the fixed front sight keeps the sight picture simple, rugged, and ready for personal-protection use. A set of black finger-grooved rubber grips provides positive control and helps tame the recoil of magnum-pressure 45 Colt loads.

Weighing in at 22 oz and measuring 7.38″ overall, the Bulldog XL is sized for belt or pocket-holster carry while remaining substantial enough to shoot comfortably.
